Flight plan

I like this opening sequence a lot because it clearly tells the genre of the film with in my opinion very important, before an audience watch a film they should know what kind of film it is they might not like the genre of the film which they about to watch. but if the aim was to miss lead their audience thinking its a different genre then its a different story. i especially like how the titles come up and go as the train passes by. the location shows that the thriller is set in a normal place on a train station this if one of the conventions of a thriller genre. one other convention of thriller genre is restricted narration which is shown by restricted shot from the back of the head of woman sitting on the train station. when we see the woman's face the first time the camera slowly shallow focuses on the woman suggesting that she is out protagonist. the story is in non-liner order which tells us more about the character and one of the conventions of thriller genre. one of the shots which i liked was when Jodie Foster and her husband were are sitting in the bench out side and the crow fly pass screeching.
